James is a licensed California investigator with offices and residence in Torrance, California. He is a retired Chief of Detectives for a major South Bay Law Enforcement Agency with 35 years experience, both at the Local, State and Federal level.
James has been working in the private sector of investigations the last 4 years with a Major Airline and the Department of Homeland Security(after 9-11) before starting his own company, Eye-Mac Investigations in 2006.
James has a Criminal Justice Degree and Graduate Master's work from USC and the University of Virginia specializing in Juvenile Delinquency and the Theory and Politics of Terrorism. James is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and United States Secret Service Dignitary Protection Course. He was a member of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics Joint Task Force on Terrorism and has supervised several joint Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement Task Forces.
Current and past affiliations include FBI National Academy Graduates, USC Delinquency Control Institute Graduates, California Robbery/Homicide Investigators Association, California Police Officers Standard and Training (POST) Training Officers Association and the Media Public Information Officers Association, National Association of Investigative Specialists (NAIS) James has also been a member of Kiwanis, Board of Director for Hughes Federal Credit Union and member of the National Notary Association, Gold Medalist in the World Police and Fire Games 1986, Gold Medalist California Police Olympics 1985 and 1986.
